Linda Durham moved from New York City to Cerrillos, New Mexico in 1966. Born in Philadelphia in 1942, Linda celebrated her 80th birthday just two weeks after returning from a private humanitarian trip to Ukraine. During the long COVID Pandemic/Quarantine months, Linda completed and published the memoir she had been adding to for decades: Still Moving. a memoir. In short storytelling chapters, the book chronicles her life of adventure, risk-taking, re-invention, breakthroughs, challenges, lessons, love, and wonder—-from her Philadelphia and New Jersey beginnings, through three years as a Playboy Bunny in Manhattan, to discoveries in the high desert of New Mexico, thirty-three years as founder and director of a major contemporary art gallery, and her travels to more than sixty countries in some of the most remote parts of our shared world.
For her 70th birthday, Linda traveled around the world in 70 days. Now, her self-challenged goal for this next decade is to present 80 storytelling talks (in schools, libraries, churches, living rooms, auditoriums, and Zooms) during her 80th year.
Linda and her life partner live off-grid on Glorieta Mesa with a dog, three cats, four chickens, and countless birds and wildlife.
