Cynthia Greb – Can Ancient Wisdom Help Us Navigate Our Present and Create a Better Future?

We are all too aware that the world seems a bit crazy right now—politically, geopolitically, environmentally. For anysensitive person, it might feel a bit overwhelming. Among the tools to help us retain or regain a sense of balance is a return to indigenous wisdom.
But, you might say, I am not Native American, so is it disrespectful to embrace indigenous traditions and values? Not if we remember that we all come from indigenous ancestors. There is ancient wisdom in Native America, in Africa, in the East, and even among white people. The Celts were the wisdom holders of the white race. They once lived throughout much of Europe. Now remnants of the ancient traditions still survive in the British Isles, Brittany in France, and Galicia in Spain.
As someone who has studied many indigenous traditions, has visited sacred and ancient sites of both the U.S. and England/Cornwall/Wales, and has witnessed surviving festivals and ceremonies, Cynthia shares some common themes among Celtic, Native American, and African traditions. She hopes that an exploration of ancient values may help give us strength and wisdom for the future that we are helping to create right now.
